The Royal Horseshoes in Waltham on the Wolds dates back to the mid 15th century and is protected by a grade Ⅱ listing. A very traditional pub boasting a copper bar and a beautiful thatched roof. The Horseshoes became The Royal Horseshoes back in 1843 following a visit from Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. The Pub sign features Victoria as a princess on her favourite grey horse. The heritage continues inside with the doors and bar panels having been saved from Buckminister Hall which was destroyed by a fire in the 1920’s.

Originally founded as a family-run antiques and pre-loved furniture shop in Grantham, Lincolnshire, Silver Apple moved to Buckminster Village in 2018. Since then, what started out as a single barn conversion has now grown into a farm shop, village cafe, garden centre and furniture showroom that supports the local area.
