It All Started Here!
The United Kingdom has always been at the forefront of Scale aeromodelling. The inaugural F4 Scale World Championships was held at Cranfield in 1970 and we hosted again in 1978 at RAF Woodvale.
In addition to this, we have been integral in the development of the Rules and had a strong presence in competitions all over the globe.
It has been a long held aim of the BMFA Scale Technical Committee for the Scale World Championships to return to the UK. With the creation and development of the BMFA National Centre at Buckminster, this has become a reality. The site is tried and tested for large events and contests across all model flying disciplines.
The BMFA look forward to welcoming you from July 10th - 18th 2026.

Here is the initial video that was published when the UK was awarded the Championships.
